Specialist support coordination is a higher level of support coordination. It is an option for people whose situations are more complex and who need specialist help to coordinate their supports and services. If you need this type of support, you will be allocated with our senior support coordinator who has tertiary qualification in Social Work and extensive experiences working with people with complex needs to work with you. We are able to do it together!

If you have received a Recovery coaching support item in your NDIS plan, probably you have experienced some type of trauma in your life in the past, which can be severe, longstanding and impact your recovery as achieving an optimal state of personal, social and emotional wellbeing. We acknowledge the important contribution of families, friends and peer supports in your recovery journey.
Having a holistic mindset, as complimentary to your mental health professionals, as your recovery coach, we are more in a way of casual conversations about your day to day life. We are not just looking at your mental health concern, we are looking at
a whole picture by acknowledging the relationship of you to your physical and social environment. Personal, physiological, sociological, psychological, cultural, spiritual and legal components all together contribute to a person's overall well-being.
As your recovery coach, we will support you with Zero judgement to live a full and contributing life based on your own definition of them by monitoring you to continue to engage with your mental health support, by supporting you to take more control of your life and to better manage the complex challenges of day to day living; by working collaboratively with you, your families, carers and other services to design, plan and implement a recovery plan, and assist with the coordination of NDIS and other supports. Who said people with disability are better off with 'their own'? and all support has to come from paid workers?
We know that the NDIA has been developing an Individualised Living Options ( ILO ) approach in which living arrangements are designed and built around each individual to reflect their decisions, choices and preferences. In other words, the ILO supports let you to work out how you want to live, where you live and who you live with. There are lots of choices with ILO. You can share your home with friends or housemates who might get paid by the NDIA to provide some hands-on support as part of your ILO package. You need to remember that an ILO is a package of supports that can help you live how you want in the home environment you have chosen. It's not the home itself such as rent or mortgage payments.
Here, we can utilize our housing assessment and planning expertise to assist you to explore and design the supports you would like. We will help you work out where you want to live, who with, what support you would need and who you want to provide that support. Once we complete the stage of exploration and design, the second stage of funding those supports can be put into place. Then we will assist to monitor and adjust your ILO package to make sure the support arrangement is working for you. We are able to do it together!
